Which pollutants are filtered?Listenelement 1In reverse osmosis, the water is pressed through a very fine-pored membrane. Only water molecules H2O can pass through. Most pollutants such as hormones, drug residues, lead, uranium, arsenic, fluoride, pesticides, microplastics, nanoparticles, proteins, etc. are much larger than the H2O molecule and do not fit through the fine pores of the membrane. This is why the H2o-pur osmosis system has a filtration of over 99%.
-
Why is the membrane continuously flushed?Listenelement 2During filtering, the membrane must be continuously rinsed free of any retained impurities. This ensures its longevity. The H2o-pur osmosis system reduces the amount of rinsing water to a minimum (0.42%) in order to keep the filtration rate at 99% for a long time.
-
How long do the prefilters and membranes last?Listenelement 3The pre-filters usually have a lifespan of one year. The membranes usually have a lifespan of two years. However, this can vary depending on the level of contamination of the incoming water. It is therefore advisable to check the resulting PPM values from time to time. If there are significant deviations, they must be replaced.
-
Can the H2o-pur system be operated mobile?Listenelement 4Yes, this is possible with an additional 24V battery. It is also possible to connect it via a 12V source, e.g. in a mobile home, with a voltage converter (step-up) 12V to 24V.
